The HepsiAltYapı fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when HepsiAltYapı's Yahya Özaktuğ looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yahya Özaktuğ in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to HepsiAltYapı getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Şafak Erserim hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the match, HepsiAltYapı's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Şafak Muhlis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 18th minute of play forced HepsiAltYapı's goalkeeper Şafak Muhlis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho scored 1-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Şafak Muhlis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luis Andino struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Şafak Muhlis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Yahya Özaktuğ who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig-Ove Sundén, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Şafak Muhlis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Stig-Ove Sundén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig-Ove Sundén in the 41st minute of the match. After having played for 45 minutes, Yahya Özaktuğ managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. HepsiAltYapı's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yahya Özaktuğ was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. HepsiAltYapı's Şafak Muhlis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save HepsiAltYapı from getting a goal against them. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Şafak Muhlis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Gisbert during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 67 minutes into the game, one of Ecuador:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ecuador:s Julio Vera showed great skill when he stopped Grigore Mergea:s penalty. Stig-Ove Sundén kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Şafak Muhlis came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The supporters of Ecuador booed when HepsiAltYapı was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şafak Erserim didn't get a good kick on the ball. HepsiAltYapı made a substitution. Vahdet Dengiz replaced Hasret Sancaktar. Şafak Erserim hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, HepsiAltYapı's Şafak Muhlis got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Ove Sundén in the 87th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The HepsiAltYapı players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
