In the 5th minute, Koby Wright left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Canada fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jax Williamson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ertan Duman in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute, Rohan Watson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Yu Ting fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ's protests and gave Yu Ting a yellow card for diving instead. Canada's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jan Dixon in the 93rd minute. Jan Dixon made a great header on Canada's corner, it was just that ΑΙΕΝ ΥΨΙΚΡΑΤΕΙΝ's Gottfrid Hedström managed to reach the ball for a save. Canada's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
