Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Salta Futbol Club's Fabian Obano started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. In the 16th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. After 17 played minutes Salta Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Goizeder. Jimeno Teodor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Fabian Obano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Jimeno Teodor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 55th minute. 59 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jimeno Teodor. Lautaro Mancebo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 62nd minute Fabian Obano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimeno Teodor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salta Futbol Club's Jimeno Teodor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Salta Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Obano, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Salta Futbol Club had won after a very even match.
