Arcadio Buendia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Gayoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Alzaga FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Jose Murillo sent off a good shot on target. Arcadio Buendia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Bernardino Lohitzun made in the 39th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Bernardo Franco immediately put the ball in play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leon Goretzka was the one to do the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arcadio Buendia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leon Goretzka in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Goretzka in the 90th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Leon Goretzka ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. The Alzaga FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
