If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florian Pruss in the 5th minute of play. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Valentin Voicu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Valentin Voicu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. VILLARREAL UNITED were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Costa Rica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Florian Pruss took the corner. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Hugo Ferrant hit a great ball. In the 17th minute, Valentin Voicu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valentin Voicu got free with Benito Sanz in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st minute, Valentin Voicu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benito Sanz. The goal made the score 1-0. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Valentin Voicu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Valentin Voicu really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Valentin Voicu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. 34 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valentin Voicu. In the 34th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bennvar Trollegaard got free with Benito Sanz in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valentin Voicu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Valentin Voicu slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 43rd minute. Efrain Moruga hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 53rd minute, Llin Villafane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 55 minutes of play, VILLARREAL UNITED's Valentin Voicu made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Valentin Voicu managed to get in a good position for a shot. VILLARREAL UNITED's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Voicu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. VILLARREAL UNITED made a substitution. Nofre Madariaga replaced Florian Pruss. Valentin Voicu took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. When VILLARREAL UNITED's Valentin Voicu in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by VILLARREAL UNITED's Valentin Voicu. But to his dismay, Valentin Voicu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. VILLARREAL UNITED's Gert Vesterberg quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Efrain Moruga, made in the 80th minute of the game. Valentin Voicu might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valentin Voicu ran back to his position shaking his head. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Voicu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Valentin Voicu managed to get in a good position for a shot. VILLARREAL UNITED's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Voicu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute, Valentin Voicu made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valentin Voicu's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Valentin Voicu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valentin Voicu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by VILLARREAL UNITED's Valentin Voicu. But to his dismay, Valentin Voicu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 11-0. VILLARREAL UNITED's Yusuf Kaya was substituted for Valentin Voicu. There was no doubt that VILLARREAL UNITED were the better team. VILLARREAL UNITED's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
