Patagonia's Maximino Ticho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save A.C. Patagonia from getting a goal against them. Maximino Ticho was a little too slow when Julian Murillo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 2-0. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Marcin Cebula made a throw-in in the 19th minute of the game. If Rui Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximino Ticho made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. Maximino Ticho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute Dariusz Wos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maximino Ticho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind A.C. Patagonia's goalkeeper Maximino Ticho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Dariusz Wos made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 42nd match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luz Tejedor to maneuver through the defense. Maximino Ticho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Dariusz Wos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rolando Noboa, 2-2. After 58 minutes of play, A.C. Patagonia's Ludwig Wassenius made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! A.C. Patagonia made a substitution. Aldo Di Carlo replaced Dariusz Wos. A.C. Patagonia made a substitution. Sylwester Sroka replaced Marcin Cebula. Szymon Jaszyna hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute Milagros Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Ticho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sylwester Sroka, made in the 69th minute of the game. 73 minutes into the game, Sylwester Sroka threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 74 played minutes A.C. Patagonia got a freekick which was hit by Camillo Terrasi. 81 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Aldo Di Carlo came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Demy Vennegoor, made in the 85th minute of the game. Milagros Fraga scored 3-3 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maximino Ticho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A sloppy throw-in by Camillo Terrasi in the 88th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. 89 minutes into the match, Rafael Gallo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maximino Ticho. A.C. Patagonia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rafael Gallo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sylwester Sroka in the 92nd minute of play. Rafael Gallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximino Ticho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Peru were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after A.C. Patagonia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eliseo Mina took the corner. For all the effort they put into the match, the A.C. Patagonia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Peru.
