Fernando Carvalhal's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernando Carvalhal helped the player get up and apologised. After 5 played minutes Snett★inåt★bakåt got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Carvalhal. Tomas Berganza hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Snett★inåt★bakåt's Fernando Carvalhal got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenneth Kvarnström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Einar Ekerot hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Kenneth Kvarnström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After 23 minutes Panama's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fredric Åström who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Valter Parve got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcos Cotilla quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 25th minute, Tomas Berganza fired away a free kick at goal. It was hit a tad too hard, and went over the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Snett★inåt★bakåt's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Kenneth Kvarnström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Ivan Vollander tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st minute, Ivan Vollander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Berganza scored 0-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kenneth Kvarnström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Vollander got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ivan Vollander's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marcos Cotilla firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to Snett★inåt★bakåt getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Yngve Haegg hit a great ball. In the 47th minute of the match Abraham Alguacil shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kenneth Kvarnström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fernando Carvalhal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Abraham Alguacil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute of the match Abraham Alguacil sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kenneth Kvarnström skillfully saved the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Fernando Carvalhal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernando Carvalhal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Snett★inåt★bakåt's Kenneth Kvarnström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Miralles in the 62nd minute of play. Kenneth Kvarnström was a little too slow when Tomas Berganza got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 1-2. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Kenneth Kvarnström successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Einar Ekerot fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Snett★inåt★bakåt's protests and gave Einar Ekerot a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Snett★inåt★bakåt getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Einar Ekerot hit a great ball. Tomas Berganza struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Kenneth Kvarnström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. Kenneth Kvarnström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 96th minute of play. When the match was over Panama could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Snett★inåt★bakåt throughout the match.
