Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Kálmán Gyarmati didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Kálmán Gyarmati tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, MALÉV SC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Kálmán Gyarmati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of MALÉV SC's Kálmán Gyarmati. Kálmán Gyarmati was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Kálmán Gyarmati tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play forced MALÉV SC's goalkeeper Kálmán Gyarmati to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 minutes MALÉV SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Kálmán Gyarmati showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Ákos Szigeti kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kálmán Gyarmati having to interfere. Kálmán Gyarmati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Béla Pásztor. 35 minutes into the match, MALÉV SC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Kálmán Gyarmati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Ákos Szigeti took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Andino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kálmán Gyarmati breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera was out of position in the 48 minute of play, and Béla Pásztor capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Béla Pásztor really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2.

The wind increased when Béla Pásztor made the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilmos Solti, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Kálmán Gyarmati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Luis Andino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kálmán Gyarmati made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. In the 65th minute, Vilmos Solti made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-3. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. The supporters of MALÉV SC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. MALÉV SC made a substitution. Tibor Fülöp replaced Benedek Asztalos. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Kálmán Gyarmati tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kálmán Gyarmati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Kálmán Gyarmati however easily saved by the left post. In the 83rd minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kálmán Gyarmati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ákos Szigeti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kálmán Gyarmati saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kálmán Gyarmati came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-4.
