The crowd rose to their feet as 天下常熟's 梅宇卫 slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thiago Pliego. That made the score 2-0 after 7 minutes of play. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 梅宇卫 in the 18th minute of play. 吕洋鹏 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 20th minute of the match. 天下常熟's 吕洋鹏 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 24th minute of play. Chile's Jose Manzanedo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by 高益霆, made in the 26th minute of the game. Jose Manzanedo hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 吕洋鹏 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Chile's Jose Manzanedo got a free kick in the 31st minute. The audience was convinced that Mariano Lacasa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 吕洋鹏 was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 42nd minute, Mariano Lacasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 吕洋鹏 was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 45th minute Orlando Casaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 吕洋鹏 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 温树宽 kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Lacasa made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of 吕洋鹏. Mariano Lacasa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. 梅宇卫's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. In the 57th minute, 梅宇卫 made a precise shot to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 吕洋鹏. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. 吕洋鹏 was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Orlando Casaus showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-3 in the 65 minute of play. 吕洋鹏 didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-4 was the resulting score. In the 74th minute, 高益霆 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patric Linqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 梅宇卫 in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th minute, 天下常熟's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pedro Indiano fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orlando Casaus got free with 吕洋鹏 in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 梅宇卫 scored 4-4 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thiago Pliego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 吕洋鹏 was a little too slow when Mariano Lacasa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 4-5. 吕洋鹏 made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. In the 94th minute Chile were awarded a corner. Mariano Lacasa went to the cornerflag to take it. Chile's Mariano Lacasa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but 吕洋鹏 in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 吕洋鹏 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute of the match Chile got a corner. 天下常熟's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Lacasa ran over to the corner to take the kick.
