Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Canada's Koby Wright started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Canada booed when Minho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antero Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zeferino Diegues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rohan Watson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rohan Watson in the 13thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zeferino Diegues, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 14 minutes Minho FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Koby Wright who took care of the corner kick. Koby Wright made a great header on Canada's corner, it was just that Minho FC's Zeferino Diegues managed to reach the ball for a save. After 18 minutes, Maicon Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Minho FC and the Canada players grew even worse after the yellow card. 18 minutes into the game, one of Minho FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 22nd minute Koby Wright shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeferino Diegues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeferino Diegues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Koby Wright, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Koby Wright made a precise shot to the right of Zeferino Diegues. Minho FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Zeferino Diegues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Koby Wright in the 36th minute of the match. Minho FC's Zeferino Diegues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carter George in the 39th minute of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Luka Harris managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luka Harris was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Magno Aparecido to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Canada's goalkeeper Jax Williamson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Magno Aparecido. With a little luck, Canada's Jax Williamson got control of the ball when Magno Aparecido tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Koby Wright in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeferino Diegues saved Minho FC from getting behind. Minho FC's Hélder Soveral was substituted for Magno Aparecido. Canada made a substitution. Prince Anderson replaced Carter George. Zeferino Diegues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theo Burton in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Edwards in the 71st minute of play forced Minho FC's goalkeeper Zeferino Diegues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74th play minutes Filip Edwards shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Zeferino Diegues and just under the crossbar into goal. Zeferino Diegues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Edwards in the 81st minute of the match.
