The supporters of Honduras booed when Ringsted drenge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silas Kromose didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastian Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kennet Hemdorff having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Edmundo Espiga was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 77th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silas Hørkilde, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Theis Kakourow fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Silas Kromose ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lautaro Navarro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Despite being the better team, Honduras failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
