Jacobo Nores was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Hugo Bender. In the 12th match minute, ASC South United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dirk van Dessel to maneuver through the defense. Cees Hermensen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hector Covarrubias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Paraguay's Jaime Pardo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erwin Teesing narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Cees Hermensen came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the ASC South United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cees Hermensen couldn't finish the play. Hugo Bender sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wesley Eringa charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wesley Eringa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to ASC South United getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Wesley Eringa hit a great ball. After 39 played minutes, Paraguay's Jaime Pardo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erwin Teesing came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paraguay reached it. Jaime Pardo struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Erwin Teesing didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraguay. Paraguay's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Hugo Bender 43 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Erwin Teesing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Pardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hugo Bender to make the kick off. Cees Hermensen charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cees Hermensen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A hard shot by Primitivo Escribano from long distance, 55 minutes into the match, got Erwin Teesing's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hugo Bender during the 60th minute. Hugo Bender was shown his second yellow card after 65 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 67th minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Teesing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Paraguay booed when ASC South United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taco Scholte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erwin Teesing having to interfere. ASC South United's attentive Taco Scholte managed to snatch the ball when Juan Diego Tenorio made a throw-in in the 76th minute of the game. After having played for 77 minutes, Cees Hermensen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ASC South United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cees Hermensen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Primitivo Escribano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erwin Teesing read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Taco Scholte charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Taco Scholte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Taco Scholte kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Paraguay's Xavier Zoido quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ricky Schattenberg, made in the 85th minute of the game. Cees Hermensen struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ASC South United. Hector Covarrubias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, ASC South United's Taco Scholte got a free kick in the 89th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Paraguay players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ASC South United.
