Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ahmad Reza Asadi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sidnei Baptista got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 15 minutes into the match, Santos Campineiro's Sidnei Baptista sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 16th minute of play forced Santos Campineiro's goalkeeper Ahmad Reza Asadi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Sidnei Baptista recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Sidnei Baptista showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ahmad Reza Asadi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmad Reza Asadi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ahmad Reza Asadi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 27th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the game, Patricio Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santos Campineiro the free kick. In the 30th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. Sidnei Baptista might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sidnei Baptista ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Sidnei Baptista sent off a good shot on target. Ahmad Reza Asadi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidnei Baptista in the 37th minute of the match. Sidnei Baptista might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sidnei Baptista ran back to his position shaking his head. 41 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sidnei Baptista. Adilson Camargo might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adilson Camargo ran back to his position shaking his head. Santos Campineiro's Anibal Enekoitz was substituted for Sidnei Baptista. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sidney Albuquerque to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Santos Campineiro got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Enekoitz. In the 56th minute, Sidney Albuquerque made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Sidney Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney Albuquerque in the 63rd minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Cristiano Antunes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 67th minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anibal Enekoitz went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmad Reza Asadi having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Orlandus in the 82nd minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Anibal Enekoitz notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Salvador Gisbert hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, Anibal Enekoitz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anibal Enekoitz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sidney Albuquerque in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 94 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ahmad Reza Asadi was left in no man's land by his defense there!
