Marco Day breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 27 minutes into the match, Noisiel's goalkeeper Karlheinz Ludecke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Monty Rogers. Karlheinz Ludecke made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Monty Rogers sent off a good shot on target. Karlheinz Ludecke came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by USA's Cassius Byrne. But to his dismay, Cassius Byrne quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Diego Bradley hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Cassius Byrne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Karlheinz Ludecke made a huge save. In the 43rd match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Bradley to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, Shi Ying Yang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Harold Combettes to make the kick off. When the referee ended the match the USA players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
