Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Carboncito's Isidoro Cordarryl started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Carboncito's Domingo Bakar got a free kick in the 18th minute. Higinio Brion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Lorenzo Cazalla fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mexico's protests and gave Lorenzo Cazalla a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great ball. Joel Gaona scored 1-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Higinio Brion, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st minute, Alberto Tafalla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Higinio Brion was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Higinio Brion didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luca Zorita went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Higinio Brion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severiano Henric during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 41st match minute, Carboncito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severiano Henric to maneuver through the defense. When Mexico's Alberto Tafalla in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carboncito's goalie prevented a goal. 44 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Cordarryl came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Higinio Brion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. Isidoro Cordarryl blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. Higinio Brion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 56th minute of the match. Higinio Brion made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. Higinio Brion was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Joel Gaona capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joel Gaona really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. 84 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Higinio Brion narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 85 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Higinio Brion made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-7. In the 88th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Brion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Higinio Brion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 93rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Carboncito's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Higinio Brion came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
