After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Veremundo Salz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Union Lara FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Veremundo Salz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eşref Tuney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Veremundo Salz put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Eşref Tuney. Veremundo Salz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Eşref Tuney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lei Fei Song sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 19 minutes into the match, Vetevendosje FC's goal looked a bit too open when Veremundo Salz came free, but Eşref Tuney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tome Usel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Smolarek, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Tome Usel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan Smolarek's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Union Lara FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Boris Bern was slow to take the kick. During this time Vetevendosje FC's players had a chance to rest. Tome Usel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Smolarek in the 24th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Lei Fei Song's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eşref Tuney was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucas Beltrán got free with Tome Usel in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Veremundo Salz in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Union Lara FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Boris Bern ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Jan Smolarek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Veremundo Salz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 38 minutes, Lucas Beltrán mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vetevendosje FC and the Union Lara FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vetevendosje FC's Lucas Beltrán got a free kick in the 39th minute. Lei Fei Song recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd minute Lei Fei Song shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eşref Tuney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Eşref Tuney was a little too slow when Francis Salazar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 1-2. In the 67th minute Francis Salazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eşref Tuney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 69 minutes, Francis Salazar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Union Lara FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francis Salazar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute, Jan Smolarek made a precise shot to the right of Tome Usel. Union Lara FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Lucas Beltrán fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tome Usel having to interfere. After 89 played minutes Union Lara FC got a freekick which was hit by Savier Labora. Eşref Tuney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francis Salazar in the 92nd minute of play.
