In the 4th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Godholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristoffer Jelm in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 14 minutes of play, FC Shifen III's Melker Jokiranta made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in FC Shifen III's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Georg Godholm came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th minute of the match, Jacinto Cesario tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 21st minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Godholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 23rd minute. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Luis Andino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Georg Godholm quite easily take care of the ball. FC Shifen III's Georg Godholm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of play. After 35 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Georg Godholm was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Melker Jokiranta fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Shifen III's protests and gave Melker Jokiranta a yellow card for diving instead. After 39 played minutes FC Shifen III got a freekick which was hit by Melker Jokiranta. After some careless play in the FC Shifen III defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Georg Godholm. The FC Shifen III fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Georg Godholm should have stopped the shot. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The FC Shifen III players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacinto Cesario made a kick off. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Jacinto Cesario kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Georg Godholm made a huge save. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Shifen III's goalkeeper Georg Godholm, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Georg Godholm. FC Shifen III's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. FC Shifen III's Şerif Aytolun was substituted for Eulalio Jakes. Georg Godholm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 74th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Georg Godholm in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 79th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Georg Godholm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Georg Godholm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Georg Godholm was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of FC Shifen III booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Fossum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
