In the 3rd play minute Moises Fernandino came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonatan Alebom. 1-0. Jorge Magrina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Östavall's Thomas Pååk. But to his dismay, Thomas Pååk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Pååk in the 24th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tobias Lingren during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Östavall getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Tobias Lingren hit a great ball. If Marco Tamayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Moises Fernandino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonatan Alebom. Östavall's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moises Fernandino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Hannes Lindsten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere.

The wind increased when Moises Fernandino made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Moises Fernandino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 57th minute, Thomas Pååk reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ricardo Zorita. The goal made the score 2-3. Abram Luque recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute Moises Fernandino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Alebom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Joachim Sandell could shoot a difficult shot in the 69th minute, which Ricardo Zorita however easily saved by the left post. 71 minutes into the match, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonatan Alebom narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Östavall's Charlie Kruuse suffered a sore thigh after 74 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Luis Rubio fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Salvador's protests and gave Luis Rubio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Östavall booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in El Salvador's zone, Joachim Sandell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal and Joachim Sandell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joachim Sandell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Ricardo Zorita made a huge save. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Joshua Curbelo got a free kick in the 95th minute. The El Salvador fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Östavall were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
