When Erkki Leesment came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Grimório fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erkki Leesment couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Holm in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. The Grimório fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Grimório's Erkki Leesment looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 22 minutes into the game, Grimório's Erkki Leesment nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 26 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Uudo Lant. Tomas Illescas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Grimório's Erkki Leesment. But to his dismay, Erkki Leesment quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. When Grimório's Erkki Leesment in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. Salvador Gisbert's late challenge caught a Grimório's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salvador Gisbert helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th minute, Salvador Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute, Erkki Leesment left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grimório fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Holm was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erkki Leesment, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute, Erkki Leesment got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emanuel Holm hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Jose Correa charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jose Correa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 69th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Grimório's Erkki Leesment sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 82ndth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grimório's Uudo Lant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erkki Leesment in the 85th minute of the match. The supporters of Grimório booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joshua Secada didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grimório's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
