Gertjan Theisens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 31 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gertjan Theisens. Alberto Tafalla showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 7-0. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Mijdrecht Maffia's Gertjan Theisens got control of the ball when Facundo Cadaval tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Alberto Tafalla kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gertjan Theisens. That made the score 8-0 in the 37 minute of play. Gertjan Theisens was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lorenzo Cazalla showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 9-0 in the 40 minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Mexico's Joel Gaona ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gertjan Theisens. Gertjan Theisens yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 10-0. With a little luck, Mijdrecht Maffia's Gertjan Theisens got control of the ball when Facundo Cadaval tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gertjan Theisens made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 10-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. After 57 minutes of play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla made it 13-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gertjan Theisens was left in no man's land by his defense there! Macos Graciani made in the 60th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Mijdrecht Maffia's Dave Siebum. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great ball. Joel Gaona scored 14-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gertjan Theisens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 68 minutes into the game, Jens Spoel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mijdrecht Maffia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. Jens Spoel hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute, one of Mijdrecht Maffia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mijdrecht Maffia. The supporters of Mexico booed when Mijdrecht Maffia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens Spoel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gertjan Theisens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 16-0. Gertjan Theisens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute.
