Irreal Madrid's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredo Ferrant was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Fontirroig in the 60th minute of play forced Irreal Madrid's goalkeeper Luiz Gustavo Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th play minute Mario Fernandino came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Luiz Gustavo Leão. 0-5. Francisco Gallo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Irreal Madrid booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Gallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th match minute, Irreal Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doriva França to maneuver through the defense. Dito Monteiro's late challenge caught a Bolivia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Gustavo Leão came out of the goal and Eduardo Fontirroig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Irreal Madrid getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Benjamim Neto hit a great ball. Mario Fernandino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd minute, Eduardo Fontirroig ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Gustavo Leão was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. In the 98th minute, Doriva França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Irreal Madrid fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Bolivia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
