Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Henning Flink started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Henning Flink came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 9 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. 10 minutes into the game, Glemmingebro IF's Henning Flink nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Henning Flink's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Henning Flink managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glemmingebro IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Henning Flink was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walter Bergström in the 18th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Efrain Moruga hit a great ball. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henning Flink in the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute of the match Glemmingebro IF got a corner. Costa Rica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Peter Sjöström ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Glemmingebro IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henning Flink didn't get a good kick on the ball. Efrain Moruga hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 30th match minute, Glemmingebro IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristian Arenstedt to maneuver through the defense. Axel Tasis missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 32 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Magni Buffone right hand side. In the 34th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense.

Axel Tasis struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Magni Buffone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. Glemmingebro IF's Walter Bergström quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Abel Carballo, made in the 63rd minute of the game. In the 65th minute of the game Efrain Moruga made a throw-in which Eliseo Noboa played forward. 66 minutes into the match, Glemmingebro IF's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Magni Buffone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Efrain Moruga made in the 73rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Eliseo Noboa however managed to control. In the 79th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Moruga to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th match minute, Glemmingebro IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars-Erik Albohm to maneuver through the defense. Glemmingebro IF's Magni Buffone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 89th minute of play. The throw-in from Efrain Moruga in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Glemmingebro IF's Peter Sjöström. 92 minutes into the match, Gustaf Hansson notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Glemmingebro IF getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Lars-Erik Albohm hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 97th minute. Glemmingebro IF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
