To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gabbro FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alessandro Mancinelli in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 31st minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 67 minutes of play, Gabbro FC's Edvard Slæggerup made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvard Slæggerup, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Mancinelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salvador Gisbert made in the 73rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Gabbro FC's Cemil Tanacan. 75 minutes into the match, Gabbro FC's Edvard Slæggerup sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Fedele Di Prinzio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gabbro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fedele Di Prinzio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
