Luiz Gustavo Leão came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa. But to his dismay, Eliseo Noboa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Luiz Gustavo Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Axel Tasis might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Gustavo Leão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Tasis ran back to his position shaking his head. Axel Tasis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Axel Tasis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Gustavo Leão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 40th minute, Wiliam Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes of play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luiz Gustavo Leão was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luiz Gustavo Leão came out and tried to block the shot, but Eliseo Noboa slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Aaron Alcocer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Irreal Madrid the free kick. Aaron Alcocer kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. When Aaron Alcocer came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aaron Alcocer couldn't finish the play.
