After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 21st minute. 25 minutes into the game, Active ZDW's Waclaw Lamczyk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iwo Mleczewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Chicote during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 39th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. Active ZDW's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Slawomir Petka in the 42nd minute. A nice corner shot did that Slawomir Petka got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Waclaw Lamczyk came free with the goalkeeper in the 44th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonathan Ferrant could save by the left post. In the 45th match minute, Active ZDW was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmiro Aurken to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wieslaw Ratulowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Tomas Illescas hit a great ball. Aykut Balaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Active ZDW made a substitution. Iphikles Pintzopoulos replaced Szymon Cipinski. After 69 played minutes Active ZDW got a freekick which was hit by Akamas Giannacopulos. The supporters of Active ZDW booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute Ziemowit Chmielecki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patricio Costa was extremely unlucky when he, in the 83rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 88 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Wieslaw Ratulowski came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boleslaw Misiorowski in the 92nd minute of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball.
