The supporters of Venezuela booed when liverpool team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jânio Novaes took the corner. The corner led liverpool team's Jânio Novaes to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miroslaw Penc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. 34 minutes into the match, Miroslaw Penc had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miroslaw Penc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The supporters of liverpool team booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miroslaw Penc, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 43rd minute, Miroslaw Penc fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jonathan Ferrant, passed just outside the right post. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miroslaw Penc in the 46th minute of the match. After having played for 47 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Alex Chicote in the 58th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by liverpool team's Geronimo Ekialde. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 61st minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miroslaw Penc in the 65th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Miroslaw Penc left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The liverpool team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Miroslaw Penc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miroslaw Penc in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by liverpool team's Miroslaw Penc. But to his dismay, Miroslaw Penc quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 77th minute, Miroslaw Penc ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miroslaw Penc in the 81st minute of play. In the 84th minute, Miroslaw Penc ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 91st minute. Jânio Novaes struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute.
