The supporters of Ecuador booed when Guaparo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. James Duque didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Arenas scored 1-2 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Guaparo FC's Zlatan Dimitriev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 86th minute of play. The Guaparo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 92nd minute, Fernando Arenas made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Guaparo FC had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
