The audience thought a goal was coming when Bob Leerbels got free with Thiago Pliego in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roy Voet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leo Dauwen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leo Dauwen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 14th match minute, Bacardi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Falko Schlender to maneuver through the defense. Bob Leerbels's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. When Arnoud Van Gestel fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bacardi FC's protests and gave Arnoud Van Gestel a yellow card for diving instead. Arnoud Van Gestel kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Leo Dauwen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Casaus in the 22nd minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Chile's Orlando Casaus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leo Dauwen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roni Coryn, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roni Coryn in the 65th minute of the match. A collision led to Bacardi FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Boruc Wykowski hit a great ball. Mariano Lacasa was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 69th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Gerardo Pozo hit a great ball. Arnoud Van Gestel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnoud Van Gestel kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Leo Dauwen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Casaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After a rather tough play, Chile's Guillermo Fontirroig got a free kick in the 81st minute.
