Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Puig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leif Västberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Timmy Sandwall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gustaf Sillén charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustaf Sillén the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th minute Timmy Sandwall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Mats Andersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leif Västberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lautaro Puig went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Timmy Sandwall got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 1-1. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, Per-Olof Glanselius ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Alexander Carballo's late challenge caught a Plan B's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Carballo helped the player get up and apologised. After 38 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Carballo. A hard shot by Freddie Ström from long distance, 39 minutes into the match, got Benito Sanz's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Alan Moruga was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 41 minutes had been played. The supporters of Plan B booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leif Västberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lautaro Puig went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Puig got free with Leif Västberg in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 64th minute Timmy Sandwall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timmy Sandwall in the 66th minute of the match. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute of the match Mathias Söderberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 80 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. Ingvar Lind took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute of the match Freddie Ström sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. Plan B's Freddie Ström pulled a muscle in his leg after 85 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 85 minutes, Axel Tasis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Plan B players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 87 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. Timmy Sandwall succeeded in the game's 89th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 5-2. 93 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Olof Glanselius came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Costa Rica's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
