Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ger Mols got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute, Jorge Sainz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerald Moermans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 8th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, The Dalwhinnie Boys's Klaus Bas got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 23rd minute Jaime Cazalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerald Moermans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonathan Kristoffers. 28 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Klaus Bas came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Uruguay's attentive Jorge Sainz managed to snatch the ball when Sven Duinhoven made a throw-in in the 29th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Kristoffers got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Dalwhinnie Boys were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Uruguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sven Duinhoven took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Chiel Kuis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Joaquin Gayoso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ger Mols, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ger Mols in the 41st minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 41 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Franco. Alberto Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Arturo Carvallo hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Seco to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes Uruguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sven Duinhoven who took care of the corner kick. The corner led The Dalwhinnie Boys's Sven Duinhoven to fire away a dangerous shot which Joaquin Gayoso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 57 minutes in the game Sven Duinhoven did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Chiel Kuis. When The Dalwhinnie Boys's Klaus Bas in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ger Mols, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerald Moermans made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. 73 minutes into the game, Sven Duinhoven threw the ball into play from the sideline. Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ger Mols in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Uruguay's Francisco Seco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. The Uruguay supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Uruguay would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
