Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nueva Adalucia's Larpe Cabrera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Nueva Adalucia from getting a goal against them. With his leg Larpe Cabrera managed to avoid a goal in the 9thth minute, when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 10th minute, Murat Oberlack made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 13 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Murat Oberlack came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murat Oberlack, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Nueva Adalucia's Alvito Helguera in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. 21 minutes into the match, Sol Rajoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sol Rajoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murat Oberlack in the 24th minute of play. Larpe Cabrera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 26th minute. Patricio Costa was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 27th minute. Venezuela's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Murat Oberlack kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Sabin Baltanas took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-7.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murat Oberlack's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, Nueva Adalucia's Juvenal Soler got a free kick in the 55th minute. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Nueva Adalucia's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Larpe Cabrera came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 64th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alvito Helguera went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. 71 minutes into the game, Murat Oberlack cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Murat Oberlack was slow to take the kick. During this time Nueva Adalucia's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Manel Sans got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Camilo Gaos was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 85 minutes had been played. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. After having played for 89 minutes, Alvito Helguera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nueva Adalucia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvito Helguera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by Sabin Baltanas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Nueva Adalucia's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
