But to his dismay, Gervasio Vela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Departamento 912's Candido Gonzalez got a free kick in the 16th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervasio Vela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 26 minutes, Gervasio Vela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Departamento 912's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gervasio Vela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gervasio Vela's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervasio Vela in the 33rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute Gervasio Vela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Departamento 912 were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bernhard Ocariz took the corner. Cristobal Loreto made a great header on Departamento 912's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 41st minute, Cristobal Loreto made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Departamento 912 were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gervasio Vela could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Gervasio Vela scored 0-5 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Domingos Iaki struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Departamento 912. Departamento 912 made a substitution. Augusto Tiniebra replaced Domingos Iaki. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 69th minute of play forced Departamento 912's goalkeeper Erubiel Hernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erubiel Hernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeronimo Manni's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 86 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeronimo Manni. Jeronimo Manni struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Departamento 912. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Jeronimo Manni had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jeronimo Manni was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. The Venezuela supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Departamento 912's performance. The match ended with a win for Departamento 912.
