The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Murat Zelenika in the 2nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herbert Hilhorst saved Verwachting from getting behind. In the 4th minute Zumbul Nurković shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Hilhorst saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herbert Hilhorst showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Börge Tidéksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The supporters of Verwachting booed when FK KLIS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Muhedin Zovko didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute Twan Hesseling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giannis Konstantinou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Verwachting's corner Harm de Freitas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Giannis Konstantinou quite easily take care of the ball. FK KLIS's Giannis Konstantinou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Twan Hesseling in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pat Rice in the 18th minute of play forced Verwachting's goalkeeper Herbert Hilhorst to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Verwachting defense, Börge Tidéksson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herbert Hilhorst. The Verwachting fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herbert Hilhorst should have stopped the shot. Christijan Schreuder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Giannis Konstantinou made a huge save. After 28 minutes FK KLIS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Harm de Freitas who took care of the corner kick. Herbert Hilhorst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murat Zelenika in the 29th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded FK KLIS left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Verwachting.
