The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hipolito Cambranes in the 6th minute of play forced Club Olimpia's goalkeeper Alfredo Aguilar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Olimpia's Alfredo Aguilar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hipolito Cambranes in the 7th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Hipolito Cambranes put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Alfredo Aguilar. Fülöp Marton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferdinand Zdraşcu in the 14th minute. Fülöp Marton came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Olimpia's Nelson Haedo. But to his dismay, Nelson Haedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 22 minutes into the match, White Raven FC.'s Hipolito Cambranes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfredo Aguilar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nelson Haedo in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fülöp Marton saved White Raven FC. from getting behind. Alfredo Aguilar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hipolito Cambranes, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nelson Haedo to make the kick off. Club Olimpia's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Hipolito Cambranes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredo Aguilar having to make a save. Paris Amsterdam recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Club Olimpia's zone, Paris Amsterdam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Aguilar came out of the goal and Paris Amsterdam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredo Aguilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Witalis Treppa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute of the match White Raven FC. got a corner. Club Olimpia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Urbano Jerano ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 96th minute, Nelson Haedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

All the players looked a little tired when it was time for the first half of the overtime. It was White Raven FC.'s Paris Amsterdam that got to make the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Matthias Kiempe in the 100th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by White Raven FC.'s Enzo Mufazalov. In the 103rd minute, Nelson Haedo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fülöp Marton. The goal made the score 3-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, Club Olimpia could leave the field as winners, despite White Raven FC. having more of the ball for most of the match.
