Vebjørn Waaler hit a great ball. Rene Higuita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisinho Uribe, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luisinho Uribe in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rene Higuita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 17 played minutes Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 got a freekick which was hit by Ciriaco Selmo. After having played for 75 minutes, Luisinho Uribe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luisinho Uribe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's Truylos Gonzalez was substituted for Damian Budianu. The supporters of Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 booed when Club Ibiza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jem Schab didn't get a good kick on the ball. Siro Llorienzo hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute Aquilino Cuevas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Higuita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Aquilino Cuevas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Ángeles de Charlie 2's supporters rose to their feet, but Aquilino Cuevas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rene Higuita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Truylos Gonzalez in the 93rd minute of play forced Club Ibiza's goalkeeper Rene Higuita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mihnea Plăcintă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kazuo Koriotto in the 94th minute of play. The referee's whistle sounded for the end of the second half. The match was tied at 2-2. None of the players looked happy at the prospect of extra-time.

With new strength the players walked out on the field for the first half of overtime. Aquilino Cuevas in Los Ángeles de Charlie 2 was the one to initiate the kick off. 100 minutes into the game, Club Ibiza's Kazuo Koriotto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mihnea Plăcintă made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The Club Ibiza supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club Ibiza would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
