Villaverde Celeste Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Freddy Eutropio scored to the left of an out of position Nenko Reza, making the score, 2-1. Roy Makaay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Per-Oskar Söderström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Scrotum Kickers FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Guo Ao was slow to take the kick. During this time Villaverde Celeste Clube's players had a chance to rest. At last the ball reached Nicolai Otamendi at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Scrotum Kickers FC. 2-2. Gonzalo Maradona could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Nenko Reza made a huge save. Villaverde Celeste Clube's Nenko Reza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boguslaw Domamir in the 26th minute of play. Scrotum Kickers FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Boguslaw Domamir in the 27th minute. Nenko Reza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosmin Donecea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Makaay in the 32nd minute of play forced Scrotum Kickers FC's goalkeeper Per-Oskar Söderström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Villaverde Celeste Clube were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Scrotum Kickers FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Guo Ao took the corner. The corner ended in Romário Carvalho almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Scrotum Kickers FC's Per-Oskar Söderström did a great save. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Romário Carvalho sped through Scrotum Kickers FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Per-Oskar Söderström. 36 minutes into the game, Roy Makaay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Per-Oskar Söderström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 38th minute, Holger Falkrantz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Scrotum Kickers FC's zone, Roy Makaay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Per-Oskar Söderström came out of the goal and Roy Makaay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Villaverde Celeste Clube were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cosmin Donecea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Roy Makaay who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Per-Oskar Söderström when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 64 minutes into the match, Scrotum Kickers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roy Makaay came free, but Per-Oskar Söderström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 68 minutes of play, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Roy Makaay made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Per-Oskar Söderström was left in no man's land by his defense there! Per-Oskar Söderström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roy Makaay's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute, Roy Makaay made a precise shot to the right of Per-Oskar Söderström. Scrotum Kickers FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-6. Nenko Reza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosmin Donecea in the 82nd minute of the match. Francesco Tacconelli made in the 83rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Boguslaw Domamir. Nenko Reza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cosmin Donecea in the 86th minute of play. After some careless play in the Scrotum Kickers FC defense, Kıraç Uskan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Per-Oskar Söderström. The Scrotum Kickers FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Per-Oskar Söderström should have stopped the shot.

Villaverde Celeste Clube's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
