After 8 minutes the xeneise dream team's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lokon Pøhl who took care of the corner kick. 9 minutes into the match, Floresta Negra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paolo Eutor came free, but Egun Pais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Egun Pais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paolo Eutor in the 13th minute of the match. Egun Pais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paolo Eutor, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 18 minutes Floresta Negra FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Genaro Farias who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Habil Castolo in the 26th minute of play forced Floresta Negra FC's goalkeeper Egun Pais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, the xeneise dream team's Egun Pais threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Paolo Eutor, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Habil Castolo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zacharias Siatzis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Egun Pais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Habil Castolo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Egun Pais made a huge save. In the 40th minute, Habil Castolo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vinicio Aires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy Cole, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Henrik Askelöf's late challenge caught a Floresta Negra FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henrik Askelöf helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th minute, Henrik Askelöf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Cole in the 47th minute of play forced the xeneise dream team's goalkeeper Vinicio Aires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

With a little luck, the xeneise dream team's Vinicio Aires got control of the ball when Lokon Pøhl tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vinicio Aires made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jardel Lewandowski in the 92nd minute. Jardel Lewandowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Vinicio Aires made a huge save. If Filcho Dzhagarov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The Floresta Negra FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Floresta Negra FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
