Walmyr Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gugu Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aguinhas's Walmyr Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gugu Guimarães in the 21st minute of play. Andy Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albérico Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Franklin Paes in the 27th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Soda f c's Niceto Gregory. Franklin Paes hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, Albérico Neto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andy Garcia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. If Gugu Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albérico Neto to make the kick off. Aguinhas's Mazarópi Orange was substituted for Paulo Renato Fernandez. Aguinhas's Gilson Quadros was substituted for Albérico Neto. Aguinhas's attentive David Malsepica managed to snatch the ball when Niceto Gregory made a throw-in in the 59th minute of the game. 61 minutes into the game, Aguinhas's Gilson Quadros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andy Garcia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The supporters of Soda f c booed when Aguinhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 90 minutes of play, Aguinhas's Jardel de Lara made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andy Garcia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mazarópi Orange in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andy Garcia prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Aguinhas had won after a very even match.
