Hungarian Olympic's Lukács Bánhegyi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Hungarian Olympic from getting a goal against them. In the 85th minute Ernesto Belarmo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beto Santirso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Golden Tigers booed when Hungarian Olympic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Béla Demeter didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zdeněk Šebestík got free with Lukács Bánhegyi in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. It was a well-played corner which Mátyás Zakariás managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand.

Hungarian Olympic's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
