The tension between the Frontera AFC and the Olavarria FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Frontera AFC's Luis Advíncula got a free kick in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaias Matas in the 12th minute of play forced Frontera AFC's goalkeeper Agustín Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Isaias Matas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Frontera AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Advíncula to maneuver through the defense. Frontera AFC's Agustín Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaias Matas in the 23rd minute of play. Agustín Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaias Matas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olavarria FC's Michel Hendrickx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Cisco in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute of the match Frontera AFC got a corner. Olavarria FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Silvestre Cisco ran over to the corner to take the kick. Michel Hendrickx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Cisco in the 34th minute of play. Agustín Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Catalino Rivarola, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Kotlar in the 40th minute of play forced Frontera AFC's goalkeeper Agustín Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute of the match Mauro Kotlar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Agustín Rossi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Agustín Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaias Matas, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Michel Hendrickx made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Silvestre Cisco sent off a good shot on target.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isaias Matas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Isaias Matas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Olavarria FC's Isaias Matas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Agustín Rossi. That made the score 0-1 after 66 minutes of play. Frontera AFC made a substitution. Gonzalo Pacifico replaced Celso Betadur. After 80 played minutes Frontera AFC got a freekick which was hit by Luis Advíncula. Olavarria FC's Catalino Rivarola managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Luis Advíncula in the 83 minute of the game. 84 minutes into the match, Frontera AFC's goalkeeper Agustín Rossi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ervigio Ojeda. Frontera AFC's Agustín Rossi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Frontera AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 92nd minute, Ervigio Ojeda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olavarria FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2.

The Frontera AFC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Olavarria FC to win.
