The supporters of Cactos booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Amorebieta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cactos's Dorival de Carvalho was substituted for Maurinho Trezeguet. Cactos's Luisinho Maciel was substituted for Cengizhan Baycan. In the 72nd match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolando Amorebieta to maneuver through the defense. Rainerio Obis struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Bran Allison didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Juniors. In the 93rd minute, Dorival de Carvalho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jacinto Cuadrado. The goal made the score 2-3. Dorival de Carvalhos short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Jacinto Cuadrado to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

Cactos's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
