In the 12thth minute of the game Emanuel Ogășanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Trip's Agustín Rossi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Önder Cebi in the 18th minute of play forced Los Trip's goalkeeper Agustín Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Los Trip's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Milanese came free, but Agustín Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Capello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Sebastian Titz made a huge save. With his leg Sebastian Titz managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Los Trip's Bruno Capello fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sebastian Titz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Capello in the 23rd minute of the match. Bruno Capello blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastian Titz having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruno Capello got free with Sebastian Titz in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 30 minutes, Kai Petermann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sydney FC and the Los Trip players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Los Trip booed when Sydney FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kai Petermann didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruno Capello got free with Sebastian Titz in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A sloppy throw-in by Kai Petermann in the 32nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Los Trip's Cipriano Castro. Bruno Capello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastian Titz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Capello in the 35th minute of the match. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Ogășanu in the 36th minute of play. In the 36thth minute of the game Emanuel Ogășanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Trip's Agustín Rossi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Sydney FC's Sebastian Titz got control of the ball when Bruno Capello tried to sneak it across the goal line. Agustín Rossi came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sydney FC's Önder Cebi. But to his dismay, Önder Cebi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
In the 53rd minute Emanuel Ogășanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustín Rossi was a little too slow when Angelo Milanese got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 0-2. Bruno Capello might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastian Titz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bruno Capello ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 59th minute, Önder Cebi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Agustín Rossi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Agustín Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Önder Cebi in the 62nd minute of play. Los Trip's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Emanuel Ogășanu scored to the left of an out of position Agustín Rossi, making the score, 0-4. Sydney FC's Sebastian Titz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Capello in the 67th minute of play. Sebastian Titz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Capello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastian Titz saved Sydney FC from getting behind.
The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sydney FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
