Dimitri Bougault was slow to take the kick. During this time Herblay's players had a chance to rest. Rogério Ceni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaud Konieczny in the 22nd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the game, Herblay's Antonin Dagorne nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. When Diamante Negro DK - VV's Vinícius Servaes in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Herblay's goalie prevented a goal. Ludomil Kajdasz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vinícius Servaes's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonin Dagorne got free with Rogério Ceni in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 66 minutes into the match, Arnaud Konieczny notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Diamante Negro DK - VV's Rogério Ceni. Rogério Ceni was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Herblay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vinícius Servaes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Antonin Dagorne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Ceni having to interfere. Vinícius Servaes struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Ludomil Kajdasz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diamante Negro DK - VV. 95 minutes into the match, Vinícius Servaes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ludomil Kajdasz. Herblay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vinícius Servaes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2.

Many of Herblay's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Herblay may have spent more time on the ball, but Diamante Negro DK - VV were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
