Fernanco Peso ran back to his position shaking his head. Pipis Culot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernanco Peso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sidney Joannes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Jon Iruegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sporting Cristal's Tobias Larsson got a free kick in the 10th minute. Pipis Culot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernanco Peso in the 25th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernanco Peso got free with Pipis Culot in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jon Iruegas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidney Joannes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernanco Peso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pipis Culot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play.

The wind increased when Sidney Joannes made the kick off in the second half. Pipis Culot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Luciano in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Borja Iglesias in the 88th minute of play forced Sporting Cristal's goalkeeper Jon Iruegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Sporting Cristal booed when Municipales FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lin Wen Shi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Tassotti hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match.
