The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Real Juniors's Alisson Becker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jānis Blūms in the 3rd minute of play. The supporters of KINGS FC booed when Real Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Cabrera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Zoltán Tálas could shoot a difficult shot in the 12th minute, which Alisson Becker however easily saved by the left post. Alisson Becker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jānis Blūms, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zoltán Tálas made a kick off. Ahmet Efe Suheyl made the kick off and play began. 100 minutes in the game, Ahmet Efe Suheyl dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Real Juniors's Alisson Becker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 107th minute of the match, managed to save Real Juniors from getting a goal against them. Leal Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Efe Suheyl in the 111th minute of play. The first half of extra-time was a real thriller. Both teams had created chances, but they were still tied when the whistle blew. The players were able to take a short breather during the short break.

Both teams seemed ready to fight when KINGS FC's Zoltán Tálas did the kick off and started the second half in the overtime. It was a well-played corner which Yonko Tarchev managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Alisson Becker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Valadão in the 123rd minute of the match. When KINGS FC's Zoltán Tálas, in the 124th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for KINGS FC. Leal Simões made a fantastic save in the 128th minute, when Ahmet Efe Suheyl sent off a good shot on target. In the 131st minute, Otto Sosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Real Juniors's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Roland Redondo in the 133rd minute. With neither of the teams able to find a winning goal, the match would be decided by penalties!

The referee gave Real Juniors a penalty, 135 minutes into the game. It became 5-4 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. KINGS FC had won after a very even match.
