A sloppy throw-in by Macos Graciani in the 13th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Žminj ONK's Stanko Jertec. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanko Jertec in the 14th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Žminj ONK's Stanko Jertec got a free kick in the 16th minute. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Grgur Mađar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valentin Brcina was the one to do the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Joel Gaona who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Žminj ONK's Grgur Mađar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Grgur Mađar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 54th minute of play. Žminj ONK made a substitution. Boro Bonačić replaced Valentin Brcina. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Boro Bonačić took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Dante Lacasa to make any attempt to save it. After 83 minutes of play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Grgur Mađar was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a free kick in the 87th minute. Boro Bonačić came free with the goalkeeper in the 88th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dante Lacasa could save by the left post. In the 90thth minute of the game Boro Bonačić who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 93rd minute, Boro Bonačić reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dante Lacasa. The goal made the score 3-3. Mexico were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
