Souad Brahimi came out of the goal and Luca Espinar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Espiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Souad Brahimi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Honduras's Souad Brahimi threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sebastian Villa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 27 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Carvallo. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jedrzej Rudy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jedrzej Rudy in the 34th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, KKS Lech Poznań's goalkeeper Souad Brahimi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmundo Espiga. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmundo Espiga to make the kick off. Valentín Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Ivan Navarro got a free kick in the 55th minute. The penalty shot was made by Jacek Gdowik, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. 2-1. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Honduras fully deserved thier win.
