A collision led to Alpargatas FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Albino Lorenz hit a great ball. Lucian Mitrofan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Seco's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. In the 12th minute, Alpargatas FC's Oscar Gagriel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After having played for 16 minutes, Oscar Gagriel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alpargatas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Gagriel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 18 played minutes Alpargatas FC got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Schaars. In the 20th minute, Francisco Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alpargatas FC's Lucian Mitrofan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 25th minute of play forced Alpargatas FC's goalkeeper Lucian Mitrofan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Francisco Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucian Mitrofan was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. In the 36th minute, Oscar Gagriel fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Joaquin Gayoso, passed just outside the right post. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oscar Gagriel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute of the match, Camilo Franco got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lucian Mitrofan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lucian Mitrofan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 60th minute of play. With a little luck, Alpargatas FC's Lucian Mitrofan got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Oscar Gagriel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alpargatas FC made a substitution. Herminio Su replaced Daniel Ritchie. In the 65th minute of the match, Francisco Seco got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lucian Mitrofan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute Oscar Gagriel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oscar Gagriel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Camilo Covarrubias's late challenge caught a Alpargatas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Covarrubias helped the player get up and apologised. After recieving a nice pass, Alpargatas FC's Amadeo Duarte tried to score from far away in the 90th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeo Bortzaioriz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francisco Secos short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Lucian Mitrofan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Alpargatas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Gagriel didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Alpargatas FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
