Bornova's Sonny Alén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Koby Wright in the 17th minute of play. Michal Setara kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Sonny Alén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Koby Wright, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute, Hüseyin Rahmi Ortaçgil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Dracena got free with Jax Williamson in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Koby Wright blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sonny Alén having to make a save. Kamil Momodu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Jax Williamson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38thth minute of the game Koby Wright who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bornova's Sonny Alén was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jax Williamson made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Fernando Dracena sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Koby Wright in the 42nd minute of play forced Bornova's goalkeeper Sonny Alén to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kamil Momodu got free with Jax Williamson in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Canada's defense didn't have a chance, in the 48th minute, when Kamil Momodu scored to the left of an out of position Jax Williamson, making the score, 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Koby Wright stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jan Dixon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sonny Alén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Mccarthy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute of the match Canada got a corner. Bornova's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jan Dixon ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Richard Mccarthy came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Canada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Mccarthy couldn't finish the play. When Yusuf Bahadır Rahmet came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Bornova fans jumped to their feet. Sonny Alén stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan Dixon's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan Dixon in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sonny Alén saved Bornova from getting behind. Sonny Alén came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Canada's Filip Edwards. But to his dismay, Filip Edwards quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 74thth minute of the game Jan Dixon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bornova's Sonny Alén was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Eric Hill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sonny Alén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Mccarthy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sonny Alén was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jan Dixon showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 80 minute of play. Richard Mccarthy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Alén having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Bornova's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Mccarthy came free, but Sonny Alén reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sonny Alén stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan Dixon's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Sonny Alén showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Edwards in the 89th minute of the match. Canada's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jan Dixon in the 92nd minute. The corner ended in Theo Burton almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bornova's Sonny Alén did a great save. Sonny Alén made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Jan Dixon sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Filip Edwards took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Sonny Alén to make any attempt to save it.
