With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eliodor Moisescu hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Victor Curea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victor Curea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 14 minutes into the match, AC MiLaN's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Victor Curea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Marin Dindelegan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Marin Dindelegan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Victor Curea came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The audience was convinced that Silvio Jatsu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Emil Văcărescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. After 37 minutes of play, Ecuador's Luis Andino made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victor Curea was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience cheered when Daniel Zorita's long shot passed Victor Curea's right side. It was 1-4, 40 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marin Dindelegan during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marin Dindelegan hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvio Jatsu in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Emil Văcărescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. The supporters of Ecuador booed when AC MiLaN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliodor Moisescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agustín Saelices could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Victor Curea made a huge save. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AC MiLaN made a substitution. Basarab Avram replaced Emil Văcărescu. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victor Curea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Victor Curea in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 81st minute. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Felix Montes advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-6 in the 81st minute. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvio Jatsu's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. In the 89th match minute, AC MiLaN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filip Vlaicu to maneuver through the defense. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than AC MiLaN.
